Parkland Health

The North Texas Poison Center (NTPC), located at Parkland Health in Dallas, TX, is dedicated to providing comprehensive state-of-the-art toxicology information, treatment assistance, and preventative education to the public and health professionals within its region. In operation since November 1984, the NTPC has maintained certification from the American Association of Poison Control Centers since 1985.  The NTPC works closely with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center to provide toxicology training to health care professionals as part their fellowship program.

Public health educators with the NTPC conduct health fairs, lectures and share poison prevention educational materials at no cost, to groups across 42 counties in the Northeast Texas region. Additional programs offered by the North Texas Poison Center include the Poison Jungle Safari, National Poison Prevention Week Poster & Video Contests, Train-the-Trainer programs, and much more.
